The Riots is a Russian band formed in 2009. Inspired by British culture, music and fashion, The Riots promotes mod culture in Russia and abroad.
Previously the band was known under the name The White Trainers Community. Within two years they have released ‘This Town’ EP, ‘The Long Play’ LP and ‘Modern Boys’ 7” single. Undeterred after a few knocks oweing to difficulties with their label at the time, the band reformed as “The Riots” and are back and more determined than ever before.
It all started a long time before the band was formed. Three mates from Perm, an industrial city in Urals, being heavily addicted to almost everything connected with Britain, decided to go and find inspiration in London. And they found what they wanted. They described coming to England as coming back home. So on their return to Russia they had nothing to do but to form a band and realize their experience in music.
The Riots are becoming increasingly more popular and have just released two singles ‘Dance On Your Problems’ and ‘Out Of Control’ which received high appraisal from both critics and audience members. The boys are looking forward to conquering the world and are preparing new material for their debut album, which promises nothing but greatness.
