Johnnytwentythree is a band from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The band is made up of Michael Maier on guitar, Brianne Maier on violin, Brian Tyree on drums, Joseph Maier on bass and Stephen Imwalle who makes the films for their live shows. Their debut, «Thirty Pieces Of Silver», is basically the soundtrack of a short film created by Stephen Imwalle and it was released in 2004. Their follow-up, «JXXIII», was self-released in 2007 and it has been well received by the press.

Johnnytwentythree is characterized by their epic sound (and concepts) and by their great live performance in which the visuals takes a large role in their shows. Recommended for fans of the Post-Rock genre and newcomers alike.
