Cyclamen began life in 2008 as Hayato Imanishi’s song writing excercise. Two songs were written in a week and they received positive responses from people around him. In fact, they turned out so well that one of the songs lead to collaboration with Mikee Goodman, who once fronted British tech metal gods SikTh. This has turned Cyclamen into one of the most exciting up and coming metal project in Uk and it has been gathering great interest from all over the world.
A month after the release of «Sleep Street» in June, three more songs were written including the cover of the theme tune from the film «Princess Mononoke» and the work for the first EP is scheduled to begin in August.
Cyclamen compiles any ideas from anything that allows it to expresses its honest emotions, and Hayato does everything including song writing, production, artwork and self-promotion in order to have full control over the way Cyclamen is.
This «Do it yourself» philosophy will always remain in Cyclamen and it aims to become the change it wants to see in the world, as Gandhi once said.
