Circa Survive is a rock band consisting of vocalist Anthony Green and members of the now-defunct This Day Forward. Paul Simon, Dredg, and Björk are among the artists who have influenced the vocal stylings and songwriting in Circa Survive.[citation needed] Circa literally means «about» in Latin. So the literal meaning of the band’s name is «About Survival».
