Uge Ortiz was born in Madrid (1976). From his early adolescence he started to show an obsession about skateboards, graffiti and hip-hop. A few year later started to play in a Hardcore band called DR.BACTERIO, and performing as the vocalist. In that moments Uge meets Dani, from the band Petra de Fenetra and started a long friendship plenty of musical projects surrounding their thoughts, and as a result they start the band E.B.U.D.P ( El buen uso del progreso ) where they combine synths and computers with punk sound.
My thoughts about music creation changed the first time I listened to an Aphex Twin track that a guy gave me in a cassette. That was the moment when I realized how easy technology makes our imagination flow and the thousands of new doors which opens to our expression.
After that, I started experiments with all kind of electronic toys, Casio Tones, Old rythm-boxes, effects pedals, dirty knobs, damaged connexions, frequencies, sequencing tricks, MIDI controllers, modulations and all that I found interesting, always looking for my own sound AZ.
